Why We Love Jupiter: It's Like Another Planet!

For years my sister tried to get me to move to Jupiter, Florida.  She has a lovely home here and every time we would come to visit, she would extol the virtues of this beautiful little beachy town where they had chosen to live.  Obviously, they loved it!

After a trip or two to the beautiful beaches here, anyone would be hooked!  But Jupiter is more than just a beach town - even though you can smell the ocean miles inland!  Even at my house, the salt breeze blows through in just the most delightful way!  If you'd like to come to visit, Jupiter is just this side of Heaven and far north of the maddening crowd.

Frankly, I hate to have to leave, even though all the hot spots are still a short ride away.  And, you'll forgive me if I say, "I don't get out much" a few times in the course of our conversation.  The truth is, when you live somewhere that's so lovely, maybe you just don't want to leave!

How did my sister know, you ask?  Well, she is my big sister! :)

On this National Day of Prayer, let us pray for our town and all the coastal areas that are so fragile to the forces of man's destructive nature, planned or unplanned.  May we cherish what is most precious and seek to protect Mother Nature and all her beauty, with all our hearts and minds, for the good of our children and our Planet.
